News and notes from the Auburn corners of the Internet

Ray Carlin-USA TODAY Sports

It was quite the night for Coach Flo's Tigers. They started their game against Tennessee struggling in a big way as the Vols jumped out to a 17 point lead. Auburn came roaring back and knocked off UT 79-61.

There were reports for a brief time that Noel Mazzone may be returning to the Plains as offensive coordinator. That quickly turned out not to be the case, though. No, we don't know whether he was actually offered the job. We just know he's not in the running. We were going to have to pay a $1.2 million buyout and then his salary, so, I'm not too upset. I wouldn't have minded his offense, though. It's different than what he was running at Auburn back from 1991-2001.

Will I have more on the OC search today? Maybe. I'll write an update if I get the chance. I hope to have a "here's the new OC!" article, but I had a few pre-written and I don't know if any of those are going to be chosen, anyway, so we'll see.

Malik Willis probably wasn't on anyone's radar at Auburn when it comes to QB recruits for this cycle. Read this and see why maybe you should be a bit more excited than you may think.

Mel Kiper thinks a lot of Carl Lawson. However, he does not think he's a First Round draft pick. You can read this for yourself to see why, but I think you already know the one knock on Carl.
