We’ve got Arkansas in a couple days, which means that the old Tuberville trap game is in effect. A bad Razorback team that we should have no trouble handling, on the road, after a deflating loss... this sets up for a bit of a trap game, especially with a bye week looming immediately after.
One of the weird things we always figured with Tubs was his connection to Arkansas, and that maybe there was an odd affinity for everything Hoggish. It’s like Muschamp always getting his teeth kicked in by Georgia. Weird.
Anyway, Gus is another Northwest Arkansas guy, starting his college career in Fayetteville under Houston Nutt (and beating us, the bastard!). But before that, he was playing football for a guy named Sporty Carpenter (legendary) at Henderson State. Read about it.

Of course this week we’re looking at an Auburn team fresh off a heartbreaker at LSU, and down one wide receiver after the dismissal of Kyle Davis. Davis’ story is just another brick in the wall lately for Auburn, as the number of players who’ve left the program for one reason or another keeps growing.

The Tigers will likely need to be prepared this weekend for an Arkansas offense with a little different capability — if starter Austin Allen doesn’t like (highly likely), we’ll see the backup. But Auburn should be ready for both.

Alright, onto basketball. It’s SEC Media Days for hoops, and Auburn’s got tons of talent at the moment, but they were only picked to finish 9th in the SEC. I would hope that’s very different from they will finish, especially with some new blood coming into the program.

What about the looming FBI/NCAA investigation into Chuck Person’s dealings? Well, we won’t know for awhile.

And finally, look back to 2010 for some fun against the Hogs. It’s time for a little Cammy Cam in our lives.
