Game Preview and Open Thread - Auburn vs Temple

The Tigers go for 3-0 as play continues at the Charleston Classic!

NCAA Basketball: Arkansas at Auburn John Reed-USA TODAY Sports

Auburn took down Indiana State yesterday morning/afternoon 83-64 to reach the semifinals of the Charleston Classic, where they’ll take on the Temple Owls here at 10:00 AM CST/11:00 AM EST on the coast.

The Tigers were able to blow out a team that blew out Indiana last weekend, and hold that team to just 30% from three, while the Sycamores hit seventeen shots from downtown in their opener. It was a nice bit of change from the defense that was played in the first couple of contests this year, especially the exhibition against Barry.

Now, it’s time for Temple, who took down Old Dominion earlier today by the final of 76-65. The Owls are led by a pretty good trio on the floor in Shizz Alston, Quinton Rose, and Obi Enechionyia, although they only played their first game of the season here in Charleston.

So, Auburn looks to advance to the championship of the Charleston Classic, where they’d take on the winner of Clemson vs Dayton/Hofstra. Still, the Owls stand in the way!
