New Day, New Rankings, Same Story

We, uh... didn’t move.

After last weekend’s cataclysmic shakeup of the rankings, this weekend was always going to be a bit of a letdown, and it didn’t disappoint in that regard.

With just two ranked teams playing other ranked teams yesterday, things look pretty similar to what we saw last Sunday.

Auburn remains at #6 just in time for a matchup with #1 in the Iron Bowl next Saturday, and the only change in top ten at all was Oklahoma State’s drop from 10 to 18 after they lost to Kansas State. Everyone else pretty much stayed where they are.

This coming weekend, we should get to see a little bit more turbulence in the rankings, whether that be good or bad. Games coming up, check it out:

  • #1 Alabama @ #6 Auburn
  • #14 Washington State @ #18 Washington
  • #9 Ohio State @ Michigan
  • #8 Notre Dame @ #22 Stanford

And those are just the ranked-on-ranked games. There are some others that will pit ranked teams against tough teams just outside the top 25. All in all for Auburn, it comes down to beating Alabama. It’s the second #1 team to head into Jordan-Hare in November, and we’ll be ready for it. War Eagle!
