It was an alright week for former Auburn Tigers in the NFL! We had one milestone, an old trick, and a solid win from our favorite!
Karlos Dansby leads the way as our best former Tiger this week, after he picked off 49ers quarterback CJ Beathard with just about two minutes to play to clinch the win for the Arizona Cardinals. With the pick, Dansby became the fifth player to join the 40/20 club (40 sacks, 20 interceptions).
That was 20th career INT for Karlos Dansby; makes him just 5th player in NFL history with 40+ career sacks & 20+ INTs. pic.twitter.com/1vysGoA7kV

On Sunday Night Football, the nation got to watch something pretty fun as Cody Parkey got up to his old tricks when the Dolphins took on the Raiders...

We saw that happen a couple times when he was at Auburn. (Hey Gus, maybe bust it out this weekend with Carlson?) Other than that, Parkey hit a field goal but Miami lost to Oakland 27-24.
What about Cam? Cammy Cam and the Panthers got back to winning ways (thanks in part to an embarrassing drop by Julia Jones), as they beat the Falcons 20-17. Cam Newton threw for just 137 yards on 13-24 passing, but he had his best rushing day this year with 86 yards on nine carries with a touchdown. The Panthers are 6-3 and have the Dolphins this coming Monday.
Peyton Barber saw some extended action in Tampa’s loss to New Orleans on Sunday. Barber got eleven carries for just 34 yards, and caught a pair of passes for 20 yards in the 30-10 defeat to the Saints.
Another former Tiger tailback, Corey Grant, got 18 yards on four carries as his Jacksonville Jaguars beat Cincinnati 23-7. He also returned a kick for 29 yards in the win as well.
Other than that, it was a light week for Auburn alums, with several teams on a mid-season bye, and several injuries keeping guys like Nick Fairley, DaVonte Lambert, Chris Landrum off the field. The stars were out in force though, with Dansby, Newton, and Parkey leading the way. War Eagle!
