There was a time 4* LB Michael Harris looked like a longshot. He was very public about the fact that Ohio State was his dream school and if given the opportunity to commit there he would. Thankfully for Auburn, that opportunity never arrived. Instead of waiting on Ohio State to make up their mind, Harris elected to commit to Auburn this summer over Georgia thanks in large part to his relationship with Travis Williams. Since that commitment, Harris has been rock solid and a vocal recruiter for the Tigers. Now he’s officially an Auburn Tiger.

Harris is what a middle linebacker is supposed to look like. At 6’3” 220 lbs he’s got a solid frame and he’s absolutely dominant inside the box. I love his closing speed and ability to weave through traffic to make a play on the ballcarrier.
What jumped out watching him play in the Corky Kell Classic all the way back in April was his ability to affect the game in a number of ways. It wasn’t just stuffing the run inside the box. He also made a number of plays as a pass rusher. He’s a kid that might not be as flashy as some of the higher rated linebackers but he’s the exact type of dude you want in the middle of your defense. He’s got a bright future as an Auburn Tiger.
War Eagle Michael!
