4* DE Kayode Oladele committed to Auburn Sunday on his official visit. Just a few days later, he’s officially an Auburn Tiger. Oladele apparently doesn’t like to waste any time.

No player in this class has less experience playing football than Oladele. The Nigerian native moved to the United States in 2015. He played his first year of high school football in 2016 but missed his senior season due to visa issues. So there isn’t a ton of film on this kid. But he was impressive enough at camps this fall that he earned an offer from the Tigers and was heavily pursued by programs like Florida State, Miami and Ole Miss. Not bad for one season of high school football.
It’s hard to not love his frame at 6’4” 235 lbs. If he can put on some more weight I think he could end up a Nick Coe clone. Meaning he’s athletic enough to play all over the place on the DL including some as a DT but also line up on the outside and rush the passer. My bet is Oladele is headed for a redshirt year in 2018 which should allow him to put on a bit more weight and learn how to properly play the defensive line position. It’s going to take time but when the light bulb goes off for the kid it’s going to be scary.
War Eagle Kayode!
