There are guys in this class with higher ratings. Others have flashier highlight films but don’t overlook 4* OL Jalil Irvin. He might not be the most physically imposing force or the most hyped recruit in this class but I firmly believe this kid is going to be a big time football player for the Tigers.

At one point in time, Irvin was a Michigan commit. However, the young man decided to open things back up in August 2016. The Tigers ramped up their pursuit and were rewarded in March with a commitment from the Stephenson High School product. This was a guy that Auburn was and continues to be very high on. He could play any of the three interior OL positions. My guess is he ends up a center for the Tigers. If he was enrolling early then I would list him as a darkhorse for the starting center spot in 2018 but the 6’3” 295 lb signee won’t be arriving until the fall.
Still, this is a kid that from a technique standpoint looks very polished already. He will need to get a bit stronger like most lineman coming out of high school but I don’t think he’s that far away from earning his way onto the field. Bright future ahead of this talented football player.
War Eagle Jalil!
