One of Auburn’s top remaining targets is off the board. 4* DL Andres Fox announced today that he’s ending his recruitment and signing with Stanford.

Last year, right before National Signing Day the Tigers lost out on 4* DE Ryan Johnson who also decided to sign with Stanford. So this is starting to become a somewhat annoying trend. The good news is last year Auburn replaced Johnson with Tyrone Truesdell who found his way onto the field as a true freshman. Auburn has even more time this go around and some big names still left on the board.
The name most likely at the top of the board now is 4* DE Caleb Tannor. He originally committed to Georgia over the summer but decommitted as the Dawgs had “academic concerns”. It appears that might have been code for “processed” so they could make room for someone like 5* DE Brenton Cox. This could end up working out perfectly for Auburn as Tannor is a big time football player and someone I have always been high on. Expect him to take an official visit to Auburn in January.
Congrats to Stanford and to Fox. Earning a scholarship to that school is not something easy and I wish the kid the best. He’s going to be a good player for the Cardinal in the years to come.
