This shouldn’t come as a big surprise but 4* OL Jerome Carvin won’t be donning orange and blue next season. The Cordova, TN native announced today that he will be signing with the Tennessee Volunteers. Auburn, Mississippi State and Florida were all teams that made Carvin a priority over the past few weeks. That’s a big win for Jeremy Pruitt’s staff.

No doubt the Tigers would have loved to have Carvin in this class but there are still some big names on the board as well. Auburn has become a major player for both 4* OT Richard Gouraige and 4* OL Williams Barnes. 4* OT Dylan Wonnum is not expected to sign early either and could officially visit in January. Bottom line, Auburn still has plenty of options. A bunch of really good options too.
Yesterday, the speculation was that if Carvin went somewhere else then Auburn would most likely sign 3* OT Jalen Goss. That no long looks like the case as he told Keith Niebuhr last night that Auburn asked him to be patient. Michigan and Miami are also major factors in his recruitment. It appears offensive tackle will be the focus for this coaching staff in January.
