Auburn in the NFL - Week 15

Former Auburn stars enjoy nice weekend in the professional ranks!

If Cammy Cam was out of sync, he returned over the weekend in the Carolina Panthers’ 31-24 win over Green Bay to reach ten wins and keep themselves right in the thick of the playoff hunt with two games to play.

Cam Newton threw for 242 yards on 20-31 passing with four touchdowns. One of those came in the first quarter for the Panthers, and allowed Cam to show off not just the arm, but the football savvy that makes him special.

Oh, and some of that patented sass he’s got down pat as well.

Clay Matthews thought the Panthers’ alignment signaled wheel route from Christian McCaffrey, but Cam and the offense had other thoughts as McCaffrey ran a different route for the touchdown.

After the win, Cam had a pretty solid beginning to the week as he turned Santa Claus and helped out some of the people of Charlotte.

Elsewhere, the Jacksonville Jaguars blew out the Houston Texans, and Corey Grant scored a touchdown to go along with 69 yards on ten carries. Grant’s score came on a drive engineered entirely on the ground, as he ran four times and capped the drive with the aforementioned touchdown.

Cody Parkey continued his solid season for the Dolphins despite Miami’s 24-16 loss to Buffalo. Parkey hit three field goals and an extra point and converted yet another onside kick as Miami tried to come back late in the game.

On Monday night, Peyton Barber starred again at tailback for Tampa in the Bucs’ loss to Atlanta. He wasn’t able to break out like he did in his first start a couple weeks ago, but he proved to be a tough guy to tackle.

Barber ran for 53 yards on 13 carries in the loss.

Here’s to a strong finish for all of our former Tigers as they get ready for the tail end of the NFL regular season.

War Eagle!
