Merry Christmas and War Eagle, Everyone.

Reason for the season, y’all.

It’s Christmas today, everyone, and a lot’s going on around the Auburn universe.

Football’s getting in the mood for the Peach Bowl against UCF. We’ve got one more week until toe meets leather, but these guys seem pretty loosey goosey.

The Tigers and Knights kick off at 11:30 am CST on New Year’s Day, and Auburn will have a chance to shut UCF up, since the Knights have done a ton of talking. Maybe they need to listen to the Auburn defense in the video above and make it a “Silent Night”.

Also, we’ve got some proud former Tigers doing great things in their professional careers. They’ve gone so far as to create (hopefully) future Tigers that should go on to do fantastic things through work, hard work.

Not to mention, Auburn basketball’s got an 11-1 record and is on the verge of being ranked for the first time in fifteen years. Bruce Pearl’s doing this without perhaps the two best players on his roster seeing time on the floor so far this season. Auburn’s got one more non-conference matchup coming up this weekend, and the team deserves our support at Auburn Arena.

Baseball’s trending up, softball has a steady rock as a head coach after recent scandal, and maybe we’ll even get a late Christmas gift in the announcement of a new athletics director soon.

What more could we possibly want as Auburn fans?

Wouldn’t that be nice? I don’t know if it’ll happen, but maybe if things fall the right way, our 2018 could be a special year.

Maybe Under Armour will stop Grinchin’ and give us the goods.

A stocking stuffer at this point!

We’d still be playing on New Year’s Day, only at 4 pm CST instead of 11:30 am.

The last time that Auburn fans didn’t have an obvious rooting interest in the national title game was 2014, and before that it was 2008. I’d like to have zero stress on 1/8/2018.

But I think this is the real thing that we’d all like to see this season. Peace and joy for the Christmas season, as we’ve all got a little too much strife in our lives.

No matter how much smack you hear a Bama fan, or a Georgia fan, or a UCF fan talk this week, just smile and give them a hearty “War Eagle”.

I’ll see you all in Atlanta one week from today, and we’ll get that eleventh win to ring in 2018.

War Eagle to all, and to all a good night!
