Game Preview and Open Thread - Auburn vs UAB

Tigers finish homestand with instate foe!

The last time Auburn and UAB met in Auburn Arena was the season-opener two years ago, and it came out pretty well for the Tigers.

TJ Lang’s late three gave Auburn a one-point edge, and then Horace Spencer closed the door with the block on what would’ve been the game-winning shot. It was a pretty awesome night to open 2015. Last year, the Tigers took down the Blazers in Birmingham, 74-70 thanks to 21 points from Jared Harper.

Now, the dragons look for revenge. But this ain’t Danaerys’ favorite bunch of lizards.

And... (SPOILER ALERT)

Auburn’s got the aim of the Night King.

...The Tigers come in at 7-1 after winning five straight games, including the first two of this little stretch on the Plains. Meanwhile, UAB’s 6-3 with their only defeats coming at the Cayman Islands Classic just before Thanksgiving.

Since that time, the Blazers have won three straight over Mississippi College, Memphis, and Troy. They’ve only played one game over the past eight days, and so they’ll come into Auburn rested and ready to knock off a second instate team in a row.
