BASEBALL
The season is just around the corner, and the baseball team will be hosting their annual Fan Day this Saturday, the 11th!
BASKETBALL
The men are back at home tonight against Mississippi State and looking to cure the Tuesday night blues that they seem to have had all season long. We'll have more on that game a little later today.
Bruce Pearl doesn't think Auburn is getting enough credit for its sweep of Alabama. I... I don't really agree with Bruce on this one. Because Alabama is like Auburn: they haven't been good in a really long time. So, no, the media really isn't going to care that Auburn swept them. That doesn't mean that I'm not going to keep celebrating the fact that it happened, though. I think it's awesome and hilarious.
GYMNASTICS
They may not have "won" a meet yet this season, but the ladies moved up in the rankings following last week's trip to Arkansas. Why? Well, because they set a number of season highs. They're continuing to get better with each week. The rankings in gymnastics are based on the points, not whether you "win" a meet or not.
FOOTBALL
You know who the football team has the endorsement of? Tim Tebow, that's who. Well, as long as the Tigers have the right QB, that is. I'd have to give that one a "thanks, Captain Obvious!" If Sean White were healthy all last season, I think the Tigers would have been able to do much more. With the right QB, the Tigers could be deadly with how many weapons return.
You know who agrees with Tebow? Advanced Stats! I'm really looking forward to what comes out of this year's A-Day game. I know it won't show much (I almost doubt it shows anything different than what we've run already), but it sure would be nice to see a glimpse of what Chip Lindsey is going to do on offense. He should just have Stidham go deep on every pass play to screw with everyone else.
