Auburn was so close to an upset victory of UGA in Athens, last night. The Tigers gave up yet another big first lead and had one final shot at the buzzer, but they just couldn't get it done, losing 79-78.
Auburn has been missing Tannon Snow's bat so far this year. It's uncertain when she'll return, if at all, this season, though. She was set to play 1st base, though, where Kendall Veach's bat has been pretty effective, so far.
The Wilson/DeMarini Classic is this weekend on the Plains. The schedule has been slightly altered from its original set up. Read about that and more, here.
In "hey, that's pretty cool" news, two of Auburn's players have been invited to try out for USA Volleyball.
I'm guessing you'll see John Franklin III at a position other than quarterback this Fall. Where that will be, I'm not sure. What is for certain is that his speed is a true weapon that Auburn needs to find a way to get him the ball.
One position change that was expected to come and already has, though, is Braden Smith to Right Tackle. The Guard slot is very deep for the Tigers, and Smith's talent is needed on the edge.
Supposedly, Gus is looking forward to going back to the hands-off coach this Spring. Chip Lindsey seems to have jumped into teaching the QBs, though. It's important to note that the beat writers did say they can't exactly say the things Lindsey was doing during the media viewing window weren't also being done by Lashlee, they just weren't being done during the media window.
