So, I'll apologize, first. I've had a ton of stuff going on at work and haven't had the time or the energy to write much, this week. I'll try to have some NFL Draft stuff for you at some point, probably, but we'll see. Now, to the stories from yesterday.
BASEBALL
Well, that's certainly not how you want a mid-week game to go, is it? The Tigers fell to Troy 2-5 last night at home. Hopefully, the team can regroup and get the big series win in Starkville this weekend.
BASKETBALL
In news that is partially "I really wasn't worried he would leave, anyway" and partially "WHEEEEW," Mustapha Heron will not test the NBA Draft waters and return to Auburn for his sophomore season.
SOFTBALL
The Tigers will close out the non-conference schedule with a road trip tonight to play Alabama State in Montgomery.
TRACK AND FIELD
An Auburn Track star has garnered some national and SEC honors. He ran a 9.98 in the 100 meters last weekend, which is straight ridiculous.
FOOTBALL
Plenty of people think Marquis McClain is going to be a huge force for the Tigers in the future. Could he make an impact as a redshirt freshman? It's certainly possible. I know I can't wait to see what he can do.
Sal Cannella is a very good pass-catching tight end. One thing he really needs to work on is improving his blocking abilities if he wants to jump Jalen Harris for playing time.
Is Tommy Tuberville saying he's not going to run for Governor of Alabama football news? We'll call it that, anyway. Tommy made a wise choice, as I don't see any way Bammers could ever bring themselves to vote for him.
