BASEBALL

The SEC Tournament begins today. Auburn starts at 4:30 pm Central against Ole Miss. Check out our brief preview that also has the bracket, here. You can check out more information on the official site.

Jonah Todd was named 2nd team All-SEC after the regular season. He was also named to the All-SEC Defensive Team. That's a pretty good year for Joe Dirt.

BASKETBALL

Bruce Pearl hosted his fourth Fore The Children charity golf tournament recently which raised $800,000 for Children's Harbor.

SOFTBALL

One of the keys to Auburn winning the Regional last weekend was the awakening of the bats. Particularly Kasey Cooper. Someone did point out the great point that it's amazing Cooper has done everything she's done all four years while earning a degree in mechanical engineering and only getting one B. With graduating behind her, I imagine she's a lot more relaxed and having fun.

So many Regionals came close to being big upsets. In the end, none of them were. All Regional hosts won and advanced. That, of course, means that Auburn will host Oklahoma this weekend on the Plains in a rematch of last year's title series.

In anticipation of a huge crowd, Auburn is adding some temporary outfield seating to Jane B. Moore Field to expand capacity.

FOOTBALL

Look, I know we're all ready for football season to get here. But is a "Watch List" for a postseason trophy being released in mid-May something that actually makes sense? No, it doesn't.

Oh, and Athlon has already put out an early season preview. They have Auburn ranked in the Top 10.

ESPN.com has an incoming true freshman as a player with great potential to make an early impact. Honestly, I'm not sure I'd pick this one. He may not even play this season depending on how the line works out.

People are expecting a lot out of Marlon Davidson in his sophomore campaign.

Looking to the future, Auburn QB commit Joey Gatewood was invited to the Elite 11 finals. That's one of the top QB camps for high school QBs. Not bad for someone who still hasn't played a full complete game as the sole QB. It's also one that Sean White was the MVP of a few years ago.
