Austin Wiley and Chuma Okeke made the first cut for the U19 Team USA squad. The news isn't all great, though, as Okeke suffered a knee injury that is going to need to be checked out.
FOOTBALL
We're starting some previews! In this case, it's conference previews. But not the type of conference previews you may be thinking of. No, Ryan isn't worried about stats, projections, etc. He just wants to give you reasons why you should care about each conference and its teams. As if you needed a reason to tune in to FunBelt Wednesdays.
Auburn is still trying to set up a non-conference game with UAB now that they're restarting football following a short hiatus. The Tigers and Blazers played in UAB's first year of the original football team, as well.
Some preseason lists are out and Athlon Sports has 3 Tigers on their All-American team with 2 on the first team. I'm betting you can easily guess one of those first-teamers. Meanwhile, Marlon Davidson shows up on SI.com's Top 100.
In former Tiger news, Duke Williams has made it onto a CFL roster. Hopefully, Duke has everything straightened out and can take advantage of the ridiculous athletic ability he has. He's not the only one who is playing in America's Hat. There are a few others that you can watch starting Thursday night.
