SITE NEWS
So, in case you missed it, there was some pretty big news published on the site, yesterday.
AUBURN SPORTS
Seventy-two Auburn Tigers were named to the SEC's Spring Academic Honor Roll. Putting the "student" in "student-athlete"!
BASKETBALL
Bruce Pearl is quite happy with his Director of Basketball Operations. And for good reason. Chad Prewett is used to juggling tons of different requirements and shuffling schedules.
FOOTBALL
The Tigers picked up a commitment from a pretty big legacy, yesterday. WR Shedrick Jackson is following his Uncle Vincent's footsteps to Auburn. His offer list isn't the most impressive, but he's showed out at Auburn's camps and has some blazing speed.
SECcountry.com previews Auburn's quarterback situation for 2017. I'd put it in the "cautiously ecstatic" category. Sure, it could go wrong, but Auburn has two very strong options on the table.
Not all the news is good. Nova, War Eagle VII, is going to be sidelined from pre-game flights for the 2017 season with heart disease. Spirit will have to handle all of the flying duties. I don't know if they plan on bringing Valor along eventually, or not, but right now Auburn is down to just one flying eagle.
In the Nick Fairley saga, it appears the former Tiger is going to have to sit out the 2017 season, as well. His heart issues are not improving at the moment.
