By now you’ve all surely heard that Auburn has named QB1 after a couple weeks of fall practice.
Jarrett Stidham will get the job, as many expected, and yesterday was filled with excitement as he and Gus Malzahn met with the media after practice.
Want to see what the quarterback said? Here you go.

On the heels of the decision, it opens up the talk now for actual game week preparation as well.
"Now it’s just time to lock in, go to work and get ready for Georgia Southern."

Stidham hasn’t taken an actual game snap since late November 2015, so the mix of emotions he’ll have getting back on the field should be incredibly difficult to describe. You can almost imagine that the coaching staff will give him a deep ball early to work out that live arm a bit.
And some people are even looking past Georgia Southern to the next weekend, because that’s when the real test will occur. For some thoughts on living up to the expectations and how that matters in the Tigers’ game at Clemson, check below.

So now with the decision settled, Bruce Pearl can finally stop blowing out poor Italian teams (really, what did they ever do to him?). Auburn’s done with it’s final game over in Italy, and boy did that go swimmingly.

Auburn finished the international trip 4-0 and dominated the competition, with some of the new guys getting pretty solid looks, including Chuma Okeke.

Things are definitely looking up for Bruce Pearl (I know it’s not SEC competition), but he definitely has his most talented team yet, and that should excite Tiger fans for November when things heat up on the hardwood.
We’ll have more from the practice fields today -- Kevin Steele should take the time to visit with the media tonight, but until then... War Eagle!
