Link sAUsage: One Scrimmage in the Books

August 8, 2017

Sound the alarm. Auburn had a scrimmage yesterday and Jarrett Stidham threw two interceptions, one of which got returned for a touchdown.

DEFCON 20. Do it.

There are always winners and losers in scrimmages, and the first one of the fall was no different. By all accounts, the first team defense had a fantastic day against the run (and apparently against the pass as well). So let’s get you caught up and begin with one of the stars of yesterday morning.

Dean reportedly was the one who housed the interception he snagged from Stidham, but he wasn’t the only guy out there impressing on the defense.

Opposite Coe, Auburn’s A-Day Defensive MVP is making moves as well!

Other than that, Marlon Davidson was held out of the scrimmage due to a minor injury that’s expected to be resolved in just a couple of days. Also T.D. Moultry and Andrew Williams missed the scrimmage due to nicks and bruises, as did Kam Pettway and Kerryon Johnson (due to their value and the fact that we need them full-strength).

Check out these videos from some post-scrimmage reaction, including the head coach himself.

And enjoy the fact that somebody likes sending footballs into the student section.

As for our boys across the narrow sea, Bruce Pearl and the Auburn basketball team hit Italy yesterday, and they seemed to enjoy their first day abroad!

That’s all for this morning — we’ll have more from practice tonight with selected players afterward, and the countdown to kickoff continues later this afternoon with a year you may just want to gloss over and forget, but we have to include it anyway.

Until then, War Eagle!
