Oh baby, did some former Tigers go nuts in the NFL this week. Comebacks, crazy athletic plays, SPEED... we had it all.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18th

DENVER 45, ARIZONA 10

Cardinals - Josh Bynes (LB) had six total tackles in the loss.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 21st

CAROLINA 21, PHILADELPHIA 17

Panthers - Cam Newton (QB) led a comeback for the ages as Carolina defeated the defending Super Bowl champs on the road. Cam went 25-39 for 269 yards and 2 touchdowns through the air, while running seven times for 49 yards. Carolina trailed 17-0 with eleven minutes to play, but Cam led three touchdown drives in the fourth quarter to erase the deficit.

DETROIT 32, MIAMI 21

Lions - Kerryon Johnson (RB) dominated the Dolphins in Detroit’s win. He led the way for a Lions’ rushing attack that gained 248 yards total as he went for 158 yards on only 19 carries. He became just the second back this season to hit the 100-yard mark in the first quarter thanks to a burst down the sideline...

And he always knows where his roots are grounded.

HOUSTON 20, JACKSONVILLE 7

Texans - Angelo Blackson (DT) had one tackle with a quarterback hit and a pass deflection in Houston’s win over the hapless Jags.

INDIANAPOLIS 37, BUFFALO 5

Colts - Braden Smith (RT) again started for Indy at right tackle, helping pave the road for an offense that gained 376 yards on the day and kept Andrew Luck’s jersey clean by not allowing any sacks.

NEW ENGLAND 38, CHICAGO 31

Patriots - Jonathan Jones (CB) had a great defensive day with two tackles, a quarterback hit, one pass breakup, and this insane interception:

It’s always nice when a play like that gives your biggest fan a thrill:

Awesome.

Bears - Cody Parkey (K) made all four of his extra points and the lone field goal attempt on the day as well.

TAMPA BAY 26, CLEVELAND 23

Buccaneers - Peyton Barber (RB) carried eleven times for 30 yards in the overtime win, while Carlton Davis (CB) had two tackles and a pass breakup in great coverage against the Browns’ receivers.

LOS ANGELES RAMS 39, SAN FRANCISCO 10

Rams - Blake Countess (CB) had one tackle, one pass breakup, and returned one kick for 24 yards in the blowout over the 49ers.

KANSAS CITY 45, CINCINNATI 10

Chiefs - Dee Ford (LB) had another big game for Kansas City as he had two tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble. Poor Andy.

Bengals - C.J. Uzomah (TE) caught the only touchdown of the day from Andy Dalton. All told, Uzomah had two catches for 13 yards and the score.

War Eagle!
