What to Look For From Auburn...

It will be great to see one of the most hyped Auburn Basketball teams in program history finally take the court for the first time tonight in exhibition action. This will be a good test for Auburn out of the gate. Last season, LMU played Butler in an exhibition game and only lost by 7 to the Bulldogs. On paper, this reminds me of the Barry game from last year as that team was also an excellent 3-point shooting team. The Railsplitters averaged 93.2 points a game last year and shot 40.6% from 3-point range.

Expect to see Auburn play 9 players tonight. While Austin Wiley and Samir Doughty have been ruled out for this game, Auburn fans will get a chance to see Danjel Purifoy on the court. While he is suspended for the first 9 games of the season, he is eligible to play in this game. It will be of great importance for Purifoy to get reacclimated to live game action and hopefully he will get a chance to be the focal point of the offense. Also look to see how freshmen walk-on, Myles Parker, plays as he is expected to get some minutes at either the 2 or 3 spot in Doughty’s absence. This game will also be an opportunity to see Anfernee McLemore return to the court for the first time since his horrible injury back in February.

Score Prediction

Auburn 87 Lincoln Memorial 71

I think the Railsplitters keep this game close for longer than Auburn fans would like but I think the Tigers will eventually be able to pull away in the 2nd half.
