The Tigers join the Australia punter craze that’s taken over college football.

Australian footballers turned punters have invaded college football. The majority of recent Ray Guy Award winners have come from Australia, specifically the ProKick Australia punting school. That’s exactly where Auburn found their newest signee Arryn Siposs.

If you haven’t already, I highly recommend reading Benjamin Wolk’s excellent story on Siposs and how he and Auburn came to find each other. Also, if you need more reasons to be excited about this kid check out his Australian Football highlights. I expect some glorious fake punts in Auburn’s future.

Siposs should fill an important need for Auburn in 2018. Punting has been a bit shaky in recent seasons but Siposs could be the piece that helps stabilize it moving forward. Between him and Anders Carlson, I think Auburn’s kicking game will be just fine next season.

War Eagle Arryn!
