Auburn finished up the non-conference portion of the schedule this weekend by hosting the Wilson/DeMarini Classic on the Plains, and sweeping the competition in six games.
The Tigers added four more shutout wins to the resume, and beat Western Carolina, UNC-Wilmington, and Western Illinois twice each to improve to 23-2 overall. On the weekend, Auburn outscored the competition 42-3, and beat UNC-W and WCU in run-rule games on Friday to open the event.
Auburn’s bats were hot across the board, and even the pitching staff got into the action from the plate.
