Calvin Anderson Sets Decision Date

Auburn’s last remaining 2018 target will make his decision Saturday.

Auburn might not be done just yet adding talent to their 2018 roster. Highly coveted Rice graduate transfer Calvin Anderson announced on Twitter tonight he will make his commitment Saturday.

Anderson will be a starter at whichever college he chooses. The 6’5” 300 lb left tackle was graded as the 5th best returning offensive tackle at not allowing pressures last season by Pro Football Focus. The Tigers have made the big man a priority ever since he announced his intentions to play his senior year elsewhere.

The consensus appears to be that the Texas Longhorns are the team to beat. Anderson attended Westlake High School in Austin, TX and his family still lives there now. Throw in his close relationship with Herb Hand and it’s easy to see why #HookEm is considered the favorite. Still, it does not appear he’s informed anyone just yet of his decision. He’s admitted that the idea of playing in the SEC intrigues him and seemed to enjoy his time spent with JB Grimes while on his official visit to the Plains back in February. He would be a welcomed addition to a position group with plenty of questions heading into the 2018 season.
