Bruce Pearl continues to dominate on the recruiting trail in the state of Georgia. The timing of this announcement was well...… different than most, but as the clock struck midnight last night, the future of Auburn Basketball became a bit more clearer.

Isaac Okoro, a 6-5 shooting forward, from McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Georgia, committed to Auburn for the Class for 2019. Okoro has been sought for a long time by Bruce Pearl and his staff and the Tigers finally got their man. He is considered the top rated player in Georgia and according to 247 Sports, he is the 35th best player in the class.

He also just finished playing for the USA Under 17 World Cup team in Argentina where his team won a gold medal.

He joins his high school teammate Babatunde “Stretch” Akingbola as players committed to the Class of 2019 for Auburn. Akingbola has considered reclassifying to this year’s class but nothing has been made official on that front. Okoro will join Jamal Johnson (transfer from Memphis) and Akingbola as newcomers to Auburn’s 2019-2020 team.

Here’s some more highlights from Okoro.

Auburn’s recruiting in the state of Georgia continues to be alive and well. Current roster members Jared Harper, Bryce Brown, Chuma Okeke, and Anfernee McLemore are all Georgia natives and Akingbola and Okoro will only add to Auburn’s Georgia Pipeline. Welcome to the Auburn Family Isaac and look forward to seeing you in an Auburn uniform. War Eagle!
