I expect some good news at the end of the week for the 2019 class. However, the 2020 class decided to beat them to the punch. This afternoon on Twitter, 3* DT Damarjhe Lewis announced he wants to be an Auburn Tiger.

Lewis recently landed an offer at Auburn’s July 28th BBQ event. He left with the Tigers as his leader. He reportedly only holds two offers at this time, one from Auburn and one from Syracuse. But that will undoubtedly change in the coming months.
Highlights
Scouting Report
Lewis is currently listed between 255 - 260 lbs by multiple recruiting services but I expect that number to change before he gets on campus. At 6’3”, he’s got a great frame to grow into a defensive tackle at the next level. He’s a powerful kid with an outstanding first step and the ability to be very disruptive in the run game. Not sure he will ever be a 3rd down pass rushing threat but he’s got the skillset to be a force in Auburn’s interior DL in the future.
The Class
At this point last year, Auburn had exactly one commitment in the 2019 class. This year they have five. With the new recruiting rules, it’s clear that the recruiting cycle starts much earlier these days. Auburn seems to have adjusted well and are working on putting together an outstanding foundation to their 2020 class before even their junior seasons have started. Four of Auburn’s five commitments are on the defensive side of the ball and three of them are on the defensive line. Hard not to be excited about what’s happening with this 2020 group.
