Countdown to Kickoff: 3 Days

THREE DAYS!

Three excruciatingly long days until Auburn football returns. Well actually, considering the time this post was published, it’s more like 2 days and some change. But you get the idea. We are so close yet annoyingly far away from some Auburn football.

But before we officially kickoff the 2018 season, there is some countdown bidness to attend to.

If you don’t remember, last November Auburn welcomed two #1 teams to Jordan-Hare Stadium. Auburn was quite frankly very rude to their #1 ranked guests, whooping up on both of them by a combined score of 68-28. We will now ignore every game that occurred after these events.

One of those contests was the classic Iron Bowl where Nick Saban once again met his arch nemesis, a 9+ win Auburn Tiger football team. After both teams exchanged punts to open the game, the Auburn offense marched 95 yards down the field and stylishly put six points on the board to snag the early lead.

Gonna miss ya Kerryon.

As we all know, Auburn went on to seize control of the game late in the 3rd quarter and would eventually capture their 10th win of the season. That victory crowned the Tigers SEC West Champs and earned them a berth to the SEC Championship Game. This concludes all discussion of the 2017 season.
