It’ll be exactly six years to the day since the Kick Six, it’ll be thirty years since the First Time Ever, and Alabama comes in to Jordan-Hare Stadium a wounded animal playing for its life. Many Tide fans think that because the hope of a national championship is gone, the season’s a bust. I hope the team views things the same way.
This is about as even a game that Auburn has had against Alabama on paper in more than a decade. Under Saban, the line has always been a couple scores, even when Auburn has had the better team and won. This year’s different. A win on Saturday would be a huge feather in the cap for Gus Malzahn, no matter who’s quarterbacking in crimson. To finish 9-3 against this schedule would be a magnificent accomplishment, even if the three losses are as frustrating as can be.
That said, don’t miss this one. You know where to find it, but just in case...
