From very early on in the process it was clear that the Tigers were high on 4* LB Cam Riley and the feelings were mutual. He was a frequent visitor to campus over the spring before announcing his pledge to Auburn. Today, he made things official.
Welcome to the #AuburnFamily @cam_riley7!

It’s big AU was able to get Riley signed today. He had talked about possibly waiting and taking some visits in the spring, namely to Oklahoma. After a fantastic senior season that saw him record over 100 tackles in 2019, he would be someone a lot of big time programs would push hard for if his recruitment lasted until February. Instead, he’s shut things down and is locked in with the Tigers.
It will be interesting to see where Riley ends up playing for the Tigers. He’s listed as an outside linebacker and will likely start his career with Travis Williams but he has the frame and athleticism to transition to Buck if needed. Either way, he’s a prospect with tremendous upside. He reminds me a lot of Derick Hall from Auburn’s 2019 class.
War Eagle Cam!
