Auburn approaches kickoff with 18 commits already in their 2020 class. That means they can not only focus their energy on their top remaining targets in that class but also begin to do more work on next year’s group. Like maybe go out and land the #6 player in the state or something...
I will confess that 4* ATH Brandon Perry was not on my radar as being someone that could pop soon for Auburn. He reportedly only holds two offers but they are both SEC calibre coming from Auburn and Tennessee. He visited campus in June and appears to have liked what he saw.
How bout a 5’10” 180 lbs pass rusher ya’ll? Well don’t worry I highly doubt Perry is being recruited to play the Buck but it’s clear he’s the best athlete on the field in most every game he plays and so his coaching staff tries to take advantage of it. More than likely Perry’s future is in the secondary, specifically I could see him playing the Nickel/Star spot for the Tigers. He’s tough for sure with good speed. Entering his junior year, I wouldn’t be surprised if he got a big bigger and a bit faster as well.
It’s hard to get too excited about a class this early but Auburn is off to a strong start in 2021. All three commits are 247 Composite 4*s which is a great place for any class to begin. If the Tigers can put together a strong 2019 campaign, I think this 2021 class has a chance to be REALLY good.
