Well here we go folks! We are officially 50 days away from tip-off on November 5th against Georgia Southern. Now that we have a schedule and know who’s going to be on the roster this year, we can officially start counting down the days to kickoff! Normally, we will do 1 game a day but with a total of 53 games where an Auburn player scored 25 points or more, we had to do cover more than 1 game on the same day at some point. So today, we’ll take care of that by starting with 4 25 point games from K.T. Harrell. Beginning tomorrow, you will see just 1 game per day leading up to gameday in November.

This is the last time that Auburn has won at South Carolina as the Tigers have dropped their last 3 in Columbia. It was also the 3rd of 3 straight SEC wins for Auburn that season.

Harrell was 9-18 from the field, 1-6 from 3-point range and 6-6 from the free throw line. K.T. also had 6 rebounds and 6 assists in this game.

Opponent: Coastal Carolina

Final Score: Coastal Carolina 58 Auburn 54

This was part of a 2 for 1 series with the Chanticleers, coached by former Auburn coach Cliff Ellis. Ellis spent 10 seasons coaching at Auburn, including 3 NCAA Tournaments and a Regular Season Championship and #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament in the 1998-1999 season.

But back to Harrell, on a night where Auburn’s offense struggled, Harrell was 8-15 from the field, 7-8 from 3 point range and 2-2 from the free throw line.

Opponent: Texas A&M - SEC Tournament 2nd Round

Final Score: Auburn 66 Texas A&M 59

Harrell was 5-11 from the field in this one, but 4-6 from the 3-point line. K.T. primarily found success at the free throw line in this one going 11-14 from the Charity Stripe.

K.T. Harrell ended his career at Auburn on a high note by leading Auburn, a #13 seed in the SEC Tournament, to an unlikely berth in the SEC Tournament Semifinals. While the first 3 years of Bruce Pearl’s tenure at Auburn were a struggle, this tournament was the first sign that better days were ahead for Auburn Basketball.

Tomorrow at #49 we’ll take a look back at one of Auburn’s toughest losses last season that overshadowed a performance from one of Auburn’s best players.
