BREAKING NEWS OUT OF AUBURN!
For months now, it’s been widely speculated that Sharife Cooper would be making his way to Auburn to play basketball for the Tigers. It’s official now.
The Point Guard from McEachern High School in Georgia made it official Friday evening while taking his official visit to the Tigers. Cooper joins Kentucky’s Justin Powell as members of the 2020 Recruiting Class. Cooper is the 2nd rated Point Guard in America and 18th ranked player in the country according to 24/7. Pearl and his coaching staff have spent an extensive amount of time recruiting him over the past few years and their persistence finally paid off with Cooper’s commitment. Now the stage is set for Auburn’s recruiting class to be one of the best of all-time.
This is the start of a huge weekend for Auburn Basketball as the team is also hosting 3rd ranked player Jalen Green for his Official Visit to Auburn among other things! Green and Cooper are close and now Sharife will hope to convince Green to join him on the Plains next season.
Auburn also was in to see forward Jaemyn Brakefield this morning, who visited 3 weeks ago and made the Final 12 for big man Cliff Omoruyi, who visited Auburn 2 weeks ago. Big things are happening for Auburn Basketball! War Eagle Sharife and welcome to the Auburn family!
