Auburn looked to close out 2018 strong facing off against North Florida in their final tuneup before SEC play.

Bryce Brown hit a 3 on Auburn’s first possession but points were hard to come by in the early going for Auburn. The Tigers would trail 8 minutes in but a dunk from Austin Wiley would put the Tigers up 10-9. The Ospreys hung in for about 10 minutes but Auburn began to regain their offensive prowess as 3s from Jared Harper and Bryce Brown gave Auburn a 10 point lead, 21-11 with 9:19 left in the half. The 3 from Harper would put him in an illustrious club.

Auburn’s lead would continue to grow and an 8-0 run to end the half allowed Auburn to lead 45-23 at halftime. While Auburn’s offense got going in the final 10 minutes, the defense was on point, forcing 21 1st half turnovers from North Florida.

Auburn had 50 points in the paint and continued to go inside early and often in the 2nd half. The Tigers lead would balloon to more than 30 on a career first from Horace Spencer. Horace knocked down his 1st 3-pointer of his collegiate career to put Auburn ahead 66-35. It was his first made 3 in 14 attempts over the previous 3 12 seasons on the Plains.

Auburn continued to keep the hammer down and the holiday crowd was treated to back to back dunks from Malik Dunbar in the closing minutes as Auburn’s lead grew to 40+.

Auburn would finish the game forcing 33 North Florida turnovers in a 46 point win.

Bryce Brown led the way with 18 points and was 5-10 from 3-point range. Austin Wiley had 13 points and 7 rebounds. Chuma Okeke had 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 steals. Anfernee McLemore had 11 points and 8 rebounds, Malik Dunbar also had 11 points and Jared Harper had 9 points and 10 assists.
