NCAA Football: Alabama at Auburn John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

If you’re trying to come to terms with how quickly and suddenly the Iron Bowl came up this year, you’re not alone. We just finished Thanksgiving, many of you are out shopping right now, and we’ve still got two more SEC games left to play after this Saturday. It’s wild.

Auburn has had the most success against the Tide over the Nick Saban era when you compare to other schools during the Gus Malzahn tenure. Auburn has three victories over Bama, including two of the last three. Gus is 3-4 against Saban, and he’s been competitive in each loss for at least some time, often doing it shorthanded.

While this year doesn’t really matter, you can bet that the winner won’t think that way and they’ll take every opportunity to brag and gloat as if this was the end-all be-all game of the century.

Either way, you’re going to want to tune in. it’s the Iron Bowl, after all!
