NumerAUlogy — 14 Days (UPDATED)

Over the years, we’ve done different countdowns to kickoff (or tipoff). This year, we’re putting a twist on the classic “Best Auburn Player to Ever Wear Each Number” list. Football is all about lighting up the scoreboard in 2021, so let’s take a walk down memory lane and review the last time a player in each uniform number put up points.

#14 — Zach Farrar, WR

Game — Auburn vs Samford, November 23, 2019

#14 — Grant Loy, QB

Game — Auburn vs Kentucky, September 26, 2020

So to be honest I completely forgot about this. Sometimes the box scores don’t show who throws the 2-point conversion, but we can’t even use that excuse because we missed this for Shenker too. Well, you get what you pay for, right?

Well, we’ve already seen this play haven’t we?

To be honest, I’m kinda surprised we hadn’t had this happen already.

#14 is now shared between 3rd to 4th string QB Grant Loy and incoming JUCO transfer CB Ro Torrence. Given what Loy has ahead of him in the depth chart, I wouldn’t be surprised if Torrence has a better chance of finding points.
