Tigers drop to seventh at NCAA Men's Golf Championships


Auburn dropped five spots from a tie for second place to seventh place on Saturday at the NCAA Men’s Golf Championships. The Tigers posted a plus 16 score of 296, 11 shots higher than the opening round. For Sunday’s round three the 17th-ranked Tigers need to finish in the top 15 to advance to the final round at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. Auburn’s total of 581 is four shots ahead of Florida, Oregon and Stanford, which are tied for 13th place. Carson Bacha led the Tigers in round two with an even par 70. The redshirt freshman finished his day with four birdies, four double bogeys and 10 pars.
