Auburn didn't score in every inning, as it did on Tuesday, but the Tigers scored another easy win, 13-2, over Coppin State Wednesday afternoon at Plainsman Park. With the victory, they've won nine of 10 and 11 of 13.

Coppin State (4-11) managed to take a 1-0 lead after one inning, but it wouldn't last long. Freshman catcher Blake Logan had his biggest day in an Auburn uniform, and with runners at the corners and no outs, he hit his first-career homer in the bottom of the second. In the third, Dan Glevenyak walked and Damek Tomscha singled to start the inning. After Blake Austin doubled to score Glevenyak and advance Tomscha to third. Logan picked up two more RBIs with a single to left. Two batters later, he moved up to second on an infield single and came all the way around to score on a throwing error.

Auburn (15-7) added another run in the fourth. Logan came up again with runners at second and third and again got the job done, hitting a sacrifice fly to drive in Connor Short. The Tigers scored three in the sixth thanks to a JJ Shaffer RBI triple, a Jordan Ebert RBI ground out and an RBI single from Austin.

In the sixth, they loaded the bases with no outs, and Brett Binning grounded into a double play, scoring Damon Haecker. Binning capped the scoring with a bases-loaded RBI single in the eighth, which scored Keegan Thompson.

At the end of the day, Logan was 2-for-4 with two runs and six RBI. Haecker was 3-for-3 and scored twice, and Shaffer was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI.

Auburn went with a committee approach on the mound, bringing out seven pitchers. Freshman right-hander Kevin Davis got the start and allowed a run on one hit and four walks and a wild pitch in one inning. Jay Wade (3-0) picked up the win, going two innings and giving up two hits while striking out one. Daniel Koger, Terrance Dedrick, Jacob Milliman, Cole Lipscomb and Trey Cochran-Gill pitched the final six innings and combined to allow one run on four hits and two walks with seven K's.

The Tigers hit the road this weekend for a tough conference test against surprising Tennessee (18-2, 2-1). Senior righty Dillon Ortman will get the start Friday night, and first pitch is set for 5 p.m. CT.
