Auburn quarterback Nick Marshall was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week Monday, two days after the Tigers' 45-41 win at Texas A&M.

Marshall compiled 336 total yards off offense, completing 11-of-23 passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns, and rushing 20 times for 100 yards and two more scores. While he didn't complete a ton of passes, Marshall did come up with a few big throws late in the game to keep Auburn's offense moving. The Tigers scored touchdowns on five of their last six possessions and put up 21 fourth-quarter points to edge out the Aggies.

In six games this year, Marshall has completed 57.3 percent of his passes for 1,138 yards, six touchdowns and four interceptions, and hes rushed 75 times for 388 yards and four TDs, averaging 5.2 yards per carry. His poise, confidence and athleticism have been major factors in the Tigers' 6-1 start to the season.

It's the third week in a row an Auburn player has taken an SEC honor. Backup quarterback Jeremy Johnson was named Freshman Player of the Week last Monday, and defensive end Carl Lawson claimed the same award the previous week.
