The Auburn Tigers opened as 8-point favorites over the Arkansas Razorbacks, according to Odds Shark. Auburn and Arkansas meet Saturday, Nov. 5 at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville. The game will kickoff at either 5 or 6 p.m. CT and be broadcast on ESPN2 or ESPN.
The Tigers (7-1, 3-1 SEC) have won four games in a row, most recently defeating Florida Atlantic, 45-10, Saturday night at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The Hogs (3-5, 0-4), on the other hand, have been struggling in Year 1 under head coach Bret Bielema. They've lost five consecutive games, and in their last appearance on the gridiron, Alabama sent them a beatdown of the 52-0 variety. In their last three games against Florida, South Carolina and 'Bama, the Razorbacks have been outscored by a combined 134-17.
Arkansas' rushing offense is essentially the program's only strength right now. The Razorbacks rank fourth in the SEC, averaging 209.9 yards per game, and 5.3 yards per carry. Freshman running back Alex Collins averages 99.6 yards per game on the ground, and he's third in the conference with 797 yards so far this season. Arkansas ranks 14th in socring offense, 14th in passing offense and 12th in total offense among SEC teams, and ranks 12th, 7th, 11th and 7th in scoring, total, rushing and passing defense.
