BCS National Championship Game 2013 odds: Florida State opens as 6.5-point favorite over Auburn

Vegas likes the Seminoles by roughly a touchdown, and bettors are siding with FSU, too.

Fresh off its SEC championship, Auburn is right back into the underdog role. The Tigers are set for a BCS Championship Game date with Florida State, and the Seminoles opened as 6.5-point favorites, according to Odds Shark.

Early betting is trending heavily toward FSU. As of this posting, the line has increased to 8.5 or nine points at most sportsbooks.

It's hard to argue with the odds-makers: Florida State has rolled to a 13-0 record and ACC championship, scoring 37 or more points in every game. The Seminoles' smallest margin of victory was 14 points against Boston College, and other than that, they won every contest by at least 28 points. They're second in the nation with 53.0 points per game, and their 10.7 points allowed per game leads the country.

FSU will provide another stiff test for Auburn's rushing game -- the Tigers passed the last two with flying colors -- as it allows just 116.5 yards per game on the ground. That ranks 14th in the country. The 'Noles passing offense, led by Heisman Trophy front-runner Jameis Winston, leads America with a 178.28 passer rating.
