Auburn Tigers in the NFL: Week 2

Some former Auburn Tigers saw playing time in the NFL's second week. Let's see how they did!

Jeremy Brevard-US PRESSWIRE

The NFL is now in its second week, and some former Auburn Tigers were out there competing with the best of the best.

Defense

Josh Bynes added another eight tackles to his season with three solo and five assists in the Ravens' win over the Browns.  Arizona Cardinal Karlos Dansby also had eight tackles, but they were all solo, as you would expect from a monster like Dansby.  Pat Sims had four tackles for the Raiders, while Sen'Derrick Marks on the other sideline had two tackles in the Jaguars' loss to Oakland.  Will Herring, Quentin Groves, Jerraud Powers and Carlos Rogers all had one tackle in their respective games.

Offense

In Sunday's close lose against Buffalo, Cam Newton was 21 of 38 for 229 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Newton also had four carriers for 15 yards. Houston running back Ben Tate dashed for 93 yards on nine carries.  Ronnie Brown carried the ball three times for 15 yards in the Chargers' win over the Eagles.  Jason Campbell had one completion on four attempts for six yards for the Browns.

Great job this week, Tigers, and as always, War Eagle!
