I'm pretty sure that in the past I have stated that writing articles for Wednesday can be a little tricky. Usually, by Tuesday, everyone has had their say about the previous week's game or whatever other big news that happened over the course of the weekend. Even on a big news day like this past Monday it is kind of hard to give your two cents on Wednesday without sounding redundant. So, you're left with the following options:
1) Talk about the previous game anyway
2) Make a prediction regarding upcoming game this weekend and hope you're not dead wrong
3) Make crap up
If you have been reading my articles/columns/nonsense with any regularity over the past two and a half years, you know that I often choose option 3. Some times it works and a lot of other times it most certainly does not. I can't, however, resist the urge of looking at the bigger sculpture that this season is working towards. Whatever that may be I have no clue, because even halfway through there is yet to be a solid mold completed yet. Maybe that's a good thing as it will give us plenty of time to shape and change it just enough to make this year something special, instead of drying too soon into what it is now. In the case of some of these teams, though, it's never too late to start over, because, well, everything starts as dust.
I don't know about you, but that's just going to be about enough from me! All the best to our Tigers traveling up to Lexington to take on Kentucky! Thursday night road games are never to be taken lightly regardless of who you might be playing. But I know Auburn will be making the trip back with another win under their belt! Be sure to tune in next week! Same Whiskey time! Same Whiskey channel! College and Magnolia dot com!
