Auburn snagged Harrell's commitment in April of 2014, and while he took a large number of visits and boasted offers from plenty of schools, the Fairburn, GA native remained true to his initial word and signed with the Tigers.
Harrell is definitely a well-traveled young man from the schools he visited during his commitment. He unofficially visited the Ohio Bobcats and Penn State Nittany Lions. He boasted offers from California, Kansas State, South Florida, Syracuse, NC State, and picked up a late offer from Georgia. Georgia even sent new offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer to visit Harrell in an attempt to sway him.
Harrell saved his official visit to Auburn for the Mega Recruiting weekend in mid-January, and left knowing he would sign with the Tigers in the end in spite of UGA's late push. He adds depth to an offensive line that is going to need it over the next few years.
Welcome to Auburn, and War Eagle!
