Treon Harris, a dynamic athlete/dual-threat quarterback in the Class of 2014 pulled a National Signing Day surprise and flipped his commitment to Florida. Harris was originally a longtime Florida State commit, but there was some speculation he might choose Auburn.
Harris, out of Booker T. Washington High School in Miami, is rated as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports composite, and listed as the 123rd-best player in the current recruiting cycle. He's ranked No. 9 among all running backs and No. 18 among players from the state of Florida. He committed to FSU on July 8, 2013. In addition to Auburn, FSU and Florida, he was also considering Miami.
Harris stands 5'11 and weighs in at 180 pounds, and he runs a reported 4.58-second 40-yard dash. He held scholarship offers from 21 schools around the country and chose the Gators over other top programs such as Oregon, Clemson, Louisville, Penn State and South Carolina.
