3* DT Jauntavius Johnson Signs with Auburn

Student Sports Flickr

A high 3* in the 247Sports composite, and a 4* in 247Sports' own rankings, Johnson definitely fills a big hole for the Tigers. The 6'2.5", 330 lbs Defensive Tackle from Lincoln County, Alabama could definitely fill the middle of the defensive line for Auburn in Will Muschamp's defensive scheme.

Auburn needs as many quality defensive tackles as it can get over the next few recruiting cycles with so many gone after this past season and very few underclassmen ready to fill the roles by those we do have on the roster.

Johnson chose Auburn over offers from Alabama, Louisville, and Mississippi State. He camped at Alabama last summer and was offered by the Tide, but ultimately committed to the Tigers in August of 2014. He made numerous unofficial visits to Auburn back during the 2013 football season, including to the 2013 Iron Bowl.
