Well, this is a nice surprise! Auburn’s top safety target, 4* Quindarious Monday, had been trending away from Auburn after landing an offer from his "dream school" Clemson not too long ago. But Monday was back on the Plains today and apparently, the visit was a home run as the Atlanta native just announced his commitment to Auburn:

Monday chose Auburn over most notably Clemson but Florida, Florida State, Georgia, and a long list of others as well. This is a HUGE pickup for Greg Brown and the Auburn defensive staff who will be looking to replace three seniors at safety next season. Monday has always been the clear top guy at this spot so this was an important commitment for the Tigers.
Highlights
Scouting Report
Monday has all the tools to be an elite safety at the next level. He's long, physical and has great speed. Whether it’s delivering a blow to a crossing WR, playing in the box to help stuff the run or making a play on a ball in the air, this kid can do it all. He probably needs to put some more weight on that 6’3" frame but this is a kid that can come in and compete for a starting spot immediately.
The Class
Auburn now has eight commitments in this class. There’s a very good chance that Monday might be the first in a run of commits to the Tigers this summer. Either way, getting a kid of this caliber on board early at a major position of need is a huge momentum boost for this recruiting class.
War Eagle Quindarious!
