SEC Media Days 2013: Preseason All-SEC teams, predicted order of finish announced

Auburn landed six players on the preseason all-conference teams.

John Reed-US PRESSWIRE

As the end of SEC Media Days 2013 draws near, the conference's journalists released their preseason All-SEC teams and predicted standings on Thursday. Six Auburn players garnered the preseason honor, and the Tigers weren't picked to finish last in the West. Woo!

Running back Tre Mason, center Reese Dismukes, defensive end Dee Ford and kicker Cody Parkey led the way for Auburn, all earning second-team nods. Punter Steven Clark, the same Steven Clark EA Sports projects to be Auburn's best player in 2013, and cornerback Chris Davis were named to the third team.

The Tigers were picked to finish fifth in the Western Division, ahead of Mississippi State and last-place Arkansas. It's not much of a surprise that Alabama was picked to win the West and the SEC title game, but the league's media did shake things up a bit by picking Texas A&M to finish second in the division, ahead of LSU. Ole Miss was slotted in the No. 4 hole.

In the East, the media likes Georgia to get back to Atlanta, with South Carolina and Florida coming in second and third, respectively. Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Missouri and Kentucky round out the division.
