Bruce Pearl just keeps putting together building blocks for what could be a new golden era of Auburn Basketball. The 2015/16 class was one of the highest ranked the Tigers have ever had. Now, with the fall signing period for 2017 approaching in just a few months, he has commitments from three players who rank in or near the Top 50 in all recruiting services.
The newest addition is 4* Small Forward Chuma Okeke from Westlake High School in Fairburn, GA. Okeke is 6'7, 225 lbs and is the 57th ranked player in the 247Sports composite. He is the 11th ranked Strong Forward in the class.
HIGHLIGHTS
Thankfully, there are a number of videos out there of Okeke, so enjoy!
THE CLASS
Ok, so, brace yourself... Okeke is commitment #3 of what is, currently, the #1 ranked recruiting class in the nation. Yes, that's right, Auburn basketball has the top ranked recruiting class in the country right now according to most services. He joins 5* PF Austin Wiley, who just won a gold medal with the USA U17 squad, and 4* PG Davion Mitchell. That is an impressive class to put it mildly.
What Bruce Pearl is doing at Auburn is so impressive. This year's team will be one of the most talented the Tigers have seen in years. With the recruiting class where it stands right now for 2017, things are looking even brighter for the Tigers' future.
War Eagle!
